Driver in Season 2 pays the player who keeps driving. Base drop-off rewards fell, but every passenger, crate, pallet and return trip in a row now adds a streak bonus, and artillery and ground-vehicle repairs moved onto the track.
The tank route got cheaper too: the T-72B3 arrives at Driver 20, fifteen levels of grind, on Season 1's L2A6 level, you no longer need before you can trade shells.
Season 2 cut the base logistics rewards and added streaks for consecutive runs. These are the launch values for a ground vehicle; BULKHEAD's notes don't name the track, but players have always seen the trip land on Driver. BULKHEAD said on 15 October it was pushing Driver progression fixes after a pallet-run exploit, so the streak values may now be lower than the launch notes say; we'll update this once the write-up lands.
Streaks stack on top for each delivery in a row:
Season 2 added four vehicles and moved most of the rest. Levels not restated in the notes are Season 1's.
Players have always seen kills from a ground vehicle's guns land on Driver, which makes a tank the combat version of the class. Season 2 gives you two:
Figures above are from BULKHEAD's Season 2 patch notes, re-checked 19 October.
How much is my vehicle worth to the enemy in Season 2?
Every variant has its own bounty now. A default Humvee pays its killer $600, a Humvee with an M249 $4,250 and the minigun version $5,000. The T-72B3 is worth $8,000, the L2A6 $11,000, and armed variants pay 1.5 times the XP of the base vehicle.
Why did my passenger XP drop?
Season 2 cut the base passenger reward from 50 XP to 25. The players-in-a-row streak makes some of that back, up to 25 passengers in a row.
