What it does
"Sets a Skill Gem to have 5 Support Gem Sockets." It only works on gems with fewer than five. The three tiers set the count directly: Lesser to 3, Greater to 4, Perfect to 5.
How players use it
Because it sets the count rather than adding one, you can go straight to five sockets without using a Lesser or Greater first.

Since patch 0.5.0, Jeweller's Orbs also work on skills granted by items, such as uniques. On an item that grants more than one skill, one orb affects all of them.
